From time to time some people ask about the acceptability of EPA methods 8260 & 8270 being used for NPDES and CWA permit work in place of the older 624 & 625 methods.
The answer is YES.
According to EPA, these methods are acceptable and in some cases even preferred alternatives to the older 600-series methods found in many 40 CFR 136 references.
